Our first CD (2)

Early public reactions to our first CD – given the hopeful catalogue number HMP 001 – have been encouraging.

Last week on BBC Radio 3, Sara Mohr-Pietsch played a couple of tracks from this ‘really fascinating CD’ on her Breakfast show.

Buyers in the Netherlands can find the CD in Baarn, at the Early-Music specialist shop Prelude. On the Prelude website, there is a nice welcome: ‘You certainly have to have some daring to start a new classical label in the present hostile climate. The British book publisher Hyphen Press has not just courage but also an eye and ear for quality. Its first issue immediately sets a standard …’
The writer, Kees Koudstaal, titles his piece ‘Thanks to Bach, Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater score is also fit for Protestants’.
